Baltimore Kinetic Sculpture Race
An unusual event, the Baltimore Kinetic Sculpture Race features amphibious (able to use either land or water), human powered works of art custom built for this unusual event as they take part in an eight-hour race covering 15 miles along the Baltimore pavements and through the mud and sand of Chesapeake Bay.
Andrews Air Force Base Joint Services Air Show
Highlighting the Blue Angels, the Golden Knights, and many other exciting aerial and ground attractions, the Andrews Air Show, close to Washington DC, features everything from special military displays including “war birds” from more than four decades of military flight history as well as a wealth of civilian performers.
African American Festival
A celebration of African American life , the 2-day, family-oriented African American Festival showcases 3 stages of entertainment of music and culture with celebrity artists and entertainers, children’s activities, arts, history, education, financial literacy, health & wellness and more.
The three-day Artscape event attracts more than 360,000 enthusiasts every year to enjoy the work of hundreds of fine artists, artists, fashion designers and craftspeople. Highlighting the event is a wealth of performing arts including dance, opera, theater, film, experimental music, live concerts on outdoor stages and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
Fells Point Fun Festival
Originally set to draw attention to the efforts to preserve the Fell's Point National Historic District, Fell’s Point Fun Festival has since been a favorite event and has been for over 45 years. Now one of Baltimore's biggest events attracting more than 700,000 people every year.
A Monumental Occasion
A tradition for more than 36 years, Mount Vernon Place celebrates the holiday season and annual lighting of the Washington Monument with an evening of choir performances, strolling entertainment, and more.
Though it's not fancy, this one-level mall, built in 1956, is still going strong with 140 stores including Bath & Body Works.
Harborplace & The Gallery
Harborplace is connected by a skywalk over Pratt Street to The Gallery, a four-story mall with upscale retail establishments.
Recently renovated, the 50-year-old shopping center now has a Target store and a Shoppers grocery.
Security Square Mall
Built in 1972 and named for its location near Social Security Administration, this mall with more than 100 shops now has an strong contingent of Korean retailers.
